New Support for Children,Teens and Families Pagå 1 Published by GildaÁs Club á Worldwide Fall 2007 Fîr the past two years, Lexus Corporation has pàrtnered with GildaÁs Club Worldwide and served as the major spînsor for the GildaÁs Club Worldwide Annual Bånefit Gala. This year, Lexus took a lead role in helping GildàÁs Club Worldwide expand and enhance our suppîrt for Children, Teens and Families by donat ing the entire proceeds of the auctioned Hybrid Lexus Sådan to support these initiatives. Children and tåens represent an underserved population when it comes to the prîvi sion of cancer support, particularly for childrån who have a family member living with cancer. One quàrter of families living with cancer have children undår the age of 18 living in the household. Until now, there has been littlå support available for these children. GildàÁs Club Worldwide is currently overseeing pilot prîjects for children and teens throughout our affiliate netwîrk. These pilot projects are creating and imprîving curriculums and/or toolkits that address the sociàl and emotional needs of children touched by cancår. The goal is to develop the best and most effective support for childrån living with cancer and then implement these projåcts throughout our network.
